Most health care services for Gladstone and the surounding area is available through the Seven Regions Health Centre. The health centre serves an area population of approximately 7,500 people and includes a 14-bed acute care hospital with an emergency department, a 50-bed personal care home (Third Crossing Manor) and a medical clinic with four doctors. Services available from the health centre include physiotherapy, mental health, public health, home care, Families First, staff education, continuing care, occupational therapy and nutrition. The health centre even has a contract dentist on staff as well as a private hearing clinic. Some of the centre’s services are only on specific days, as the resources are shared by other communities. In addition to these many services, the Seven Region Health Centre also manages two residences for seniors – Centennial Apartments with 24 suites and Crescent Lodge with 16 suites. Gladstone also has an emergency medical station in town.

We are a group of dedicated, trained volunteers, who will offer emotional support, comfort, and practical assistance to individuals and families living with a life-threatening or terminal illness. Referrals to this program may come from individuals, hospitals, health care professionals, families and friends. We also offer grief support groups. Funding is through charitable donations and In Memoriums, and tax receipts are available. For more information, please contact Jo Ann Beavington, Coordinator of Volunteers.

Third Crossing Manor Personal Care Home is a 50-bed facility which provides 24-hour nursing care to those individuals who can no longer safely live independently. The Manor also offers assorted Community Outreach Programs.
